ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 27001 / 22301 Integrated Management System Manual
This version of the IMS1 Integrated Management System Manual brings ISO 9001:2026, ISO 14001:2026, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 22301:2019 together in one document. Every IMS1 section is in use: Sections 1 to 5 hold the shared framework and quality processes, Sections 6, 7 and 8 cover environmental, health and safety and information security management, and business continuity is built into the scope and into risks and opportunities at 2.5.6.
With this many standards in one system, the manual relies on named roles and registers rather than repeating content. 2.2 sets out responsibilities for an IMS Lead, Data Protection Lead, Environmental Representative, H&S Lead, Information Security Lead and Business Continuity Lead, and the registers key in Appendix i names each register once, from the environmental performance register to the information security and business continuity risk registers.
What the Manual Covers
- Section 1 Integrated Management System - scope with the BCMS statement and the Statement of Applicability reference, context, processes, documented information, and legal compliance for every standard covered
- Section 2 Leadership, Commitment and Planning - policies, objectives for each discipline, responsibilities and the organisational chart, management review, and risks and opportunities including business continuity (2.5.6)
- Sections 3 to 5 - staff, equipment, premises and communication; enquiries, purchasing and sub-contractors, operations and change; customer satisfaction, nonconformities and information security events, audits and continual improvement
- Section 6 Environmental Management - commitment to environmental protection, environmental assessment, incident prevention and environmental procedures
- Section 7 Health & Safety Management - commitment and worker consultation, guidance and arrangements, the health and safety procedure, accident reporting, and hazard identification and risk assessment
- Section 8 Information Security Management - the ISMS and Statement of Applicability, security arrangements, IT equipment and physical security, risk management and policies
- Appendices i to iv - external file references and the registers key, the IMS folder filing system, terms and definitions grouped by discipline, and the IT systems network overview

Who Needs an ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 27001 / 22301 Integrated Manual?
Organisations that hold several certifications, or are building towards them, use this manual to run quality, environmental, health and safety, information security and business continuity as one integrated system. It suits SMEs that supply larger customers or public bodies and may be asked for evidence across all of these areas, and want a single set of documents, one audit programme and one management review to maintain.
Included in the ISO 9001/14001/45001/27001/22301 Toolkit
This manual is part of the ISO 9001/14001/45001/27001/22301 Toolkit, where it is supplied with the IMS1 Manual Guidance and the registers, forms, policies and procedures it refers to.
Using the Manual
With every section in use, set up the roles first - name each lead in 2.2 and 2.3 and complete the Responsibility field so it is clear who owns each process. Then work through the registers the sections rely on: F-IMS60 for Section 6, the hazard and risk assessment register for Section 7, F-IMS26 and the information security risks register for Section 8, and F-IMS21 with the business continuity risk register for 2.5.6.
Related Documents
IMS1 Guidance covers each section, including notes on the ISO 14001, 45001 and 27001 clauses. PP-1-05 Business Continuity Policy Procedure and PP-8-100 Information Security Policy Procedure hold the business continuity and information security procedures the manual refers to, and I-C-IMS Implementation Checklists and I-C-IMS Maintenance Checklist cover implementation and ongoing maintenance.
